The Jewell Instruments LCF-3000 Series inclinometer is a precision instrument with a three axis configuration designed for measuring vertical acceleration or 360° continuous rotation. With input ranges from ±3 to ±90°, the LCF-3000 utilizes Jewell’s fluid damped, flexure suspension, servo technology for highly accurate measurements with superior repeatability. LCF-3000 series inclinometers are solid-state, closed loop meters with accuracy, stability and reliability several orders of magnitude greater than open loop types. They are ideally suited for use in the construction industry for setting tilt of road grading and paving machines, in the geophysics filed for tilt and strong motion studies, in the civil engineering field for evaluation of tilt of supporting walls in dams and other structures, and other application where high-accuracy measurement of tilt is required. Jewell LCF-3000 series inclinometers are fully self-contained and designed to operate from a standard DC power source. Output is an analog 0 to ±5 VDC signal directly proportional to the sine of the angle of tilt. The heart of the LCF-3000 series is a flexure supported torque balance system, rugged enough to withstand severe shock and vibration and still maintain excellent accuracy.
